Words of Hope broadcasts its programs in Arabic throughout the Middle East, and they are seeing a growing response via text messaging. Postal service is difficult and not always reliable, and they had the foresight to begin offering the option in early 2007. This year, the number of text messages has grown 50%.
They appear to utilize text messaging to mostly communicate their message, but this could eventually lead to obtaining donations for this nonprofit organization.
Words of Hope understands their audience and their environment, and they have adjusted their communication strategy to provide users with the ability to interact through the method they are most comfortable using – not to mention it’s more reliable!
