If your nonprofit is on, there are a few opportunities that might be available for you to expand your presence in the social media network.

On, an organization has the ability to set up fundraising goals for specific projects. You also can have testimonies posted by volunteers, donors, employees, board members, clients, professionals and the general public. Users can also view your organization’s supporters, blog, videos and photos.

Make sure your profile information on is correct and try to provide as much content as possible up front. Take the initiative to set a schedule where you will regularly update this profile with new photos, videos, etc. Then, put together a strategy to promote your presence on and obtain members and/or donations.

In addition, the nonprofit area is powered by Guidestar, which is a good reminder to make sure this information is up-to-date as well.
